AliMed Easy Access Foot Splint.Accommodates the bulkiest dressings with unlimited access to the foot and ankle to facilitate dressing changes . Clinical indications include burn management, healing wounds, surgical incisions, and other conditions that require unimpeded foot and ankle access.The stabilized leg rests on a wide leg trough with a heel cut-out that is affixed to a movable footplate. The foot trough and leg plate form a wide U-shaped base that stabilizes the foot in a neutral position and helps to limit hip rotation. Footplate locks at 20 degrees of plantarflexion or 5 degrees of dorsiflexion and can be securely positioned at other angles of plantarflexion or dorsiflexion by adjusting the bilateral straps. The heel cut protects against heel breakdown. Soft, 1 1/12" thick egg-crate liners attach with VELCRO brand strips and are easily replaced.
